The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates is seeking a full-time academic, noninvasive general cardiologist to join our team in the Department of Medicine's Division of Cardiology.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care to general cardiology patients in the outpatient department.
- Participate in inpatient rotations on the cardiology ward, CCU, and general cardiology consultation service.
- Collaborate with residents, fellows, and medical students in a teaching hospital setting.
- Maintain an active research program and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.
- Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Current and valid DC licensure or the ability to obtain it.
- Demonstrable record of academic accomplishments, including scholarly activity and/or innovative teaching.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and walk for long periods in a clinical setting.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects over 100 lbs.
- Regular exposure to healthcare settings requiring personal protective equipment.
- Manual dexterity to operate computer equipment and other office machinery.
