Job Title: Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our team at Scottish Rite for Children. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality legal services to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with our legal team to provide professional support and services to our management team.
  • Draft, review, and analyze various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Perform legal research and compile data on a wide range of healthcare, compliance, and risk management issues.
  • Manage subpoenas and business record requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Collect and review research materials, determining accuracy and validity of sources and appropriateness for use.
  • Edit written material for accuracy, format, and arrangement of content.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and institutional information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Paralegal Studies (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Industry-recognized certification from organizations such as NALA or AACP.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal or healthcare setting.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Strong research and report-generating skills.
  • Experience in using legal database software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend legal documents, statutes, laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good communications, including presenting information and responding to questions with internal clients and third parties.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and otherwise computer literate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working in a team-centric environment.
