Warehouse Handler

As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for transporting materials and products within the department, processing inventory transactions, and maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

1. Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the department, including steel coils, dies, baskets, and containers.
2. Load and unload trucks at shipping and receiving docks as instructed.
3. Verify part numbers, quantities, and purchase order information against packing slips.
4. Work in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
5. Accurately complete paperwork required for production records, including labor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts, manifests, and more.
6. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.
7. Operate Radio Frequency equipment to transact inventory.
8. Cycle count inventory and research problems.
9. Process small parcel shipments and receipts.
10. Complete company-provided training.
11. Process outbound shipments and inbound receipts.
12. Pick boxed merchandise from the warehouse.
13. Print bar code labels to identify products.
14. Operate forklifts outdoors in a scrap dumping operation.
15. Audit warehouse inventory to reconcile locations against computer files.
16. Investigate inventory discrepancies and conclude the most probable cause of errors.
17. Prepare a daily report of audit results.
18. Key all warehouse inventory adjustments.
19. Assist with statistical samples.
20. Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
21. Participate in PCI process.
22. Perform special projects as assigned.

1. High School degree or equivalent.
2. Ability to operate numerous forklifts, including electric stand-up, electric sit-down, L.P., and side-load, in a warehouse environment.
3. Ability to communicate well with others.
4. Ability to read and understand routings, work orders, manifests, and production reports.
5. Ability to count accurately.
6. Certification as Polaris forklift driver required.
7. Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision.
8. Ability to operate overhead crane.
9. Ability to use MAPICS computer software.
10. Ability to work in a changing environment.
11. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
12. Team Player with focus on customer service and quality.
