Records Technician II Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Records Technician II to join our team at Bernalillo County. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing and filing documents, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide customer service to the public and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and file documents, including cash handling transactions, in accordance with New Mexico State statutes and departmental standards.
- Assist with daily receipt, research, and processing of various documents and forms.
- Respond to inquiries in person, in writing, and over the telephone in a courteous and exemplary manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including audits and verification of work in process.
- High school diploma or GED plus one year of office/clerical experience, or any related combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in an office environment where work processes are governed by statutes and strict administrative guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
- Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with the public, co-workers, and other County employees.
- Skilled in computer use for work processing, data entry, and retrieval.
This position is located in a temperature-controlled environment and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced office environment and maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines.
