Job Description
As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist for Heart Failure Management, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art ICU step-down unit. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care;
- Promoting patient and family-centered care in a healing environment;
- Educating patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration;
- Participating in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance;
- Developing, implementing, and documenting individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing;
- No prior experience is required, but preferred requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and heart & vascular experience;
- A valid RN license;
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
- Additional certifications may be preferred.
