Logistics Courier

SUMMARY: The Logistics Courier is accountable for the timely collection and delivery of essential documents, medical records, supplies, and correspondence across various facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Efficiently transport patient records, documents, and reports to designated locations as instructed.

2. Deliver various internal and external correspondence, laboratory specimens, supplies, and equipment as required.

3. Receive and distribute supplies and equipment from vendors as directed.

4. Maintain accurate records of daily deliveries.

5. Stay in constant communication with the Transportation dispatch through two-way radio or phone.

6. Adhere to all safety driving regulations and maintain a clean driving record.

7. Follow departmental policies and procedures diligently.

8. Ensure compliance with safety standards by utilizing appropriate safety equipment and inspecting areas for fire prevention and safety supplies.

9. Work independently or collaboratively during adverse weather conditions, applying safe driving practices.

10. Participate in emergency response efforts as necessary.

11. Foster positive interactions with hospital staff to achieve collective goals.

12. Address inquiries from patients, physicians, and visitors courteously and efficiently, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

13. Uphold excellent customer service standards with both internal and external stakeholders.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Texas or New Mexico Driver's License is mandatory.
• Completion of a defensive driving course is preferred.
