The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a skilled professional to teach and engage students in the field of ophthalmic education.

Job Summary

This adjunct professor position involves teaching courses related to ophthalmic education, which correlate with the catalog descriptions and course outlines. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching and be able to provide a comprehensive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classes at designated times, places, and lengths.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with course objectives.
  • Evaluate student progress and assign grades accordingly.
  • Meet attendance requirements and maintain a positive classroom environment.
Requirements
  • Nevada licensed Optician with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Ability to achieve ABO advanced certification within 2 years.
  • Flexibility to work days and nights.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in education from an accredited College/ University.
  • ABO advanced or NCLE Advanced licensure.
  • Bilingual.
Salary Information

$925 per instructional unit, with potential hourly lab compensation of $46.25.
