Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in a critical, non-critical, and chronically ill setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital, including emergency response, airway management, and ventilator management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and complete documentation, cleaning, and stocking of equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in CAP and JC surveys, and may function as Shift Leader or Team Leader.
  • Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Requirements:

  • RT or RCP License in state of employment required.
  • RRT through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
  • BLS required.
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Work Schedule and Type:

TBD, Full Time.
