We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pre-Op Care Specialist at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.
About the RoleThis full-time position is available on weekends only, offering a unique chance to balance your personal and professional life while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Pre-Op Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless transitions between departments, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and coordinate services to meet patients' evolving needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to deliver holistic care, prioritize tasks, and optimize resource allocation.
- Implement evidence-based practices, administer medications, and document patient information accurately and efficiently using electronic medical records.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program or eligibility to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
- A current RN license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- CPR certification, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as needed.
