About the Role

Western Home Services is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor
  • Maintain awareness of the condition of all residents under their care
  • Accurately administer medications, treatments, and physician orders, taking ultimate responsibility for resident care
  • Confer with Director of Nursing on an ongoing basis regarding special problems of care, resident transfers, management of workload, etc.
  • Coordinate preparation and planning of resident admission, giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care
  • Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families
  • Supervise, assist, consult with, and teach certified nursing assistants
Requirements
  • Graduate of a state board-approved school
  • Currently licensed in Iowa
  • Current in CPR certification or willing to achieve it
  • This is an hourly position, which means you must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays as required/needed
  • Exceptional attendance
