Job Summary

The Director of Sustainability will be responsible for driving the organization's sustainability vision and initiatives forward. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic sustainability-focused marketing programs, branding campaigns, and events. The Director will also serve as an advocate and liaison with trade organizations and interest groups, delivering presentations, participating in meetings, and managing virtual calls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability-focused marketing programs and branding campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to design and implement strategic sustainability initiatives
  • Act as an advocate and liaison with trade organizations and interest groups
  • Deliver presentations, participate in meetings, and manage virtual calls
  • Coordinate with operational business functions to ensure sustainability data is updated and maintained

Requirements:

  • LEED-AP Certified
  • Degree with a focus on Environmental or Sustainability Science
  • Proven project management experience
  • At least three years of recent experience in developing and communicating sustainability issues
  • Superior written communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of articulating program details to small groups and senior management
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Proficient in word processing and Microsoft Office programs
  • Willingness to work variable hours as needed
  • Willingness to travel 30%-40%
