- Student Assessment: Assess student performance during the assigned course, providing timely and constructive feedback to students, and documenting all course-related activities within established timelines.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members, program directors, and clinical agency staff to ensure seamless integration of clinical experiences and academic instruction.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Four (4) years of bedside or clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years; previous teaching experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current and active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card required.
The successful candidate will work in a standard office/classroom/lab or clinical setting, with occasional travel to clinical sites. The work environment may include skills lab or bedside environments as required by the program.
Physical Demands- Physical Ability: The incumbent must be able to perform the duties of the position, which may include standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Visual and Auditory Abilities: The incumbent must have effective visual and auditory abilities to perform the duties of the position, including reading fine print and operating electronic keyboards.
- Competitive Salary: $40-$50/hour, dependent on experience and education.
