Job Description

The Capitol Region Education Council is seeking a part-time school psychologist to work in school districts in the Greater Hartford Region. As a School Mental Health Professional, you will work individually and with small groups of students to assist with identified social/emotional and behavioral needs.

**Job Purpose:**
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with schools, community and families to provide mental health support to students. The School Mental Health Professional will assess the clinical needs of students, develop and implement strategies to support students, and provide information to families in need of out-of-school community resources.

Key Responsibilities:**Provide individual, group or facilitative therapy for students whose diagnosed problems would benefit from behavior modification, clinical interventions or social skills.Assist with the identification and placement of all types of exceptional students.Coordinates with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs and familiarize stakeholders with psychological services.

Requirements:
Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.Master's degree in psychology.Three to five years of experience working as a school psychologist.Appropriate CT certification.
