Job Description

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a part-time petroleum inspector to join our Caleb Brett team. This role involves traveling to client locations for onsite inspections, ensuring the accuracy of volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials
  • Perform visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, and tank trucks
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, and shore tanks
  • Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks
  • Verify and communicate results obtained and make entries into the appropriate media
Requirements:
  • Basic grasp of mathematics and ability to work in an automated environment
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate
  • Physical requirements include lifting, walking, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, and driving
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IFIA certification
  • TWIC certification
