Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a critical care nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in San Diego, California.

Job Description
  • Specialty: Critical Care Unit
  • Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

We're looking for experienced critical care nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be proficient in evaluating and monitoring patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and monitoring patients in the ICU
  • Providing direct care to patients with life-threatening conditions
  • Documenting patient information and providing physician-directed care
  • Developing and implementing patient care plans
  • Delegating tasks to other care providers as needed
  • Communicating with patient families and educating them on long-term care needs

The successful candidate will also be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds easily. Moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.

Requirements:
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • NIH certification
  • At least 1 year of recent acute care experience
