Job Title: Box Truck Medical Courier

Job Summary:

Gill Logistics Services is seeking a reliable and skilled Box Truck Medical Courier to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering medical supplies and equipment to healthcare facilities while ensuring timely and efficient delivery and pick-up of medical supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 26-foot box truck to transport medical supplies and equipment to healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure medical items are properly secured and stored during transport.
  • Follow verification processes throughout order execution.
  • Obtain signatures and input POD information for every order.
  • Report order discrepancies to Dispatch and the Area Manager.
  • Troubleshoot delays and obstacles with Dispatch and Area Managers.
  • Complete handoffs at designated locations and meet with other drivers.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain and report any vehicle defects.
  • Follow all traffic laws and operate the box truck safely.
  • Secure and maintain assigned equipment (pallet jacks, straps).
  • Ensure the truck is fueled and cleaned for the next shift.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Prepare and stage orders for shipment.
  • Complete daily and weekly warehouse checklists.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Communicate with teammates to locate requested hospital equipment.
  • Perform weekly inspections of warehouse premises.
  • Assist with ongoing warehouse projects and upkeep of the facility.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Have previous work experience with a 26-foot box truck.
  • HIPAA & BBP certification preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of company services and business procedures.
  • Strong communication skills (telephone, in-person, written).
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Proven warehouse skills and knowledge of equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and tasks.
  • Customer service-oriented and committed to company success.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May require working in a warehouse environment and driving for deliveries.

Travel Required:

  • Yes, primarily for delivery routes.
