Medical Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare clinicians in delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain patient histories and vital signs, accurately recording them in the Electronic Medical Record
  • Prepare patients for examination and procedures, assisting providers and patients during procedures
  • Conduct daily blood draws, prepare specimens, and pack for transportation for laboratory tests ordered by providers
  • Stock supplies, prepare exam rooms, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Call patients to advise on negative lab results
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience in a medical office setting
  • Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
  • Experience working with EPIC EMR software
  • Excellent customer service skills
