Our team thrives on the ability to collaboratively design and implement solutions for the Finance Department in an environment that promotes continuous improvement and learning. This position offers a unique opportunity to assist Finance in maximizing the effective use of data while driving innovation and efficiency.

As a Finance Data Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

General Duties:

  • Challenge yourself to acquire new skills and adapt as technology evolves.
  • Utilize creative thinking and innovative approaches to identify and address critical business challenges and opportunities.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted resource for all teams within Finance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a Finance Data Analytics Intern.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with our partners on the IT Data Team and within business units.
Data and Analytics:
  • Gather and document requirements for dashboards, reports, and potential process automations.
  • Engage with department leaders to discuss existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement, enhancement, and automation.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes as specified by requirements.
  • Utilize tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Excel, SSRS, and others to create solutions that enhance Finance's ability to deliver meaningful data to our business partners.
  • Build and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy of all new developments, enhancements, and updates.
  • Act as a steward of the data utilized by Finance to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Technology and Data Analytics Manager to review Finance-specific elements targeted for use in our data hub, ensuring alignment with departmental needs.
  • Maintain and support all initiatives under the Finance Data Analytics team to ensure both immediate and long-term success.
  • Develop training materials to empower associates in a self-service model.
  • Conduct training sessions for Finance Associates as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technology & Data Analytics Manager.
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data modeling; SQL knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • A passion for data, a commitment to continuous learning, and a natural curiosity about how data and technology can be leveraged to solve business challenges.
  • Ability to manage a backlog of work items and prioritize effectively while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
