Position: High School History EducatorKey Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons in World History, US History, American Government, and Economics, equipping students for Advanced Placement coursework.
- Encourage student-led dialogues on historical themes, promoting critical analysis and thoughtful engagement.
- Assist students in evaluating primary and secondary sources, enhancing their argumentative and analytical skills.
- Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable sharing their viewpoints.
Qualifications:
- Strong alignment with the mission of Uncommon Schools and a commitment to anti-racism efforts.
- Proven dedication to fostering students' social-emotional and academic development.
- Collaborative approach and readiness to engage with various stakeholders to support student achievement.
- Experience with urban K-12 student populations is preferred.
Salary: Competitive starting salary ranging from $50,000 to $64,700, dependent on experience and qualifications.
