Job Description

Ekko Lounge is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Porter/Beverage Runner to join our team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for promoting the nightclub and services offered to our customer base, while also ensuring the smooth operation of our beverage service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market the nightclub and services offered to our customer base
  • Perform in a public relations capacity when promoting Ekko Lounge
  • Assist the Bar backs and Cocktail Servers in the opening, closing, and nightly duties
  • Retrieve and stock inventory as needed
  • Maintain proper set-up, cleanliness, and maintenance of all venue space
  • Responsible for maintaining clean bars, stocking, and cleanliness of glassware, bar equipment, and supplying bar/service bar
  • Maintain all assigned wardrobes/costumes in accordance with established standards and uniform guidelines
  • Request identification and payment from customers in a professional manner
  • Work in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age required, 21+ preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC certificate and food handlers
Working Knowledge Requirements:
  • Nightclub, bar, lounge, restaurant operations
  • Liquor, beer, wine, and cocktail brand names
  • Opening and closing duties
  • Knowledge of drink recipes
  • Proper lifting techniques
  • Inventory and stock rotation
  • Guest relations
  • Safe alcohol service
  • Proper garnish, cutting, and beverage presentation
  • High volume operations
  • Sanitation and safety

Physical Demands:
  • Must have good positive energy to make it through the shift
  • Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the venue
  • Must be able to stand/walk/bend for extended periods of time throughout the shift
  • Be observant and quick to respond to various situations
  • Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors
  • Must be dexterous and able to participate in all service aspects
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry as necessary
  • Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations
  • Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to push up to 500lbs
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volume
Work Environment & Schedule:
  • Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be flexible on shifts and days off
  • Involves constant public contact
  • Fast-paced, high volume, high energy, and loud working environment
  • Work may be performed in small areas and varying conditions of noise level, temperature, lighting, and air quality
  • Must be able to work both inside and outside during all times of the year as needed based on the needs of the business
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke
