Job Title: Switcher Yard Jockey

We are seeking a skilled Switcher Yard Jockey to join our team at Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. in Knoxville, TN. As a Switcher Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for transporting full and empty trailers between the docks and designated drop parking spaces in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport full and empty trailers between the docks and designated drop parking spaces
  • Inspect trailers before transporting to identify issues of mechanical maintenance needs and potential safety hazards
  • Maintain organization of the trailer yard to ensure efficient and safe transport of trailers
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse
  • Perform other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, and Switch Tractor
Work Environment:

Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment (Hot in summer/Cold in winter)
