RN-Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a RN-Emergency Department Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care and meet their individual needs.
- Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care and excellent patient outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
