Job Overview

We are collaborating with a manufacturing firm seeking a Financial Controller to enhance their financial operations. This role will report directly to the CFO/CEO and is crucial for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, analyze manufacturing costs, and conduct account reconciliations.
  • Generate and present comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, income statements, and inventory records.
  • Supervise an Accounting Clerk and a Data Entry Specialist.
  • Facilitate the external review process.
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and maintain annual budgets.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize asset utilization.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
  • 3-8 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Visual Manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Prior experience in cost accounting is advantageous.
