About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring our Associates are processing efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Merchandise Management: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Leadership: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, monitors productivity of team, and coaches as necessary.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication: Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates.
Requirements
  • Flexibility: Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Communication Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Leadership Skills: Capable of multi-tasking, responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations, and team player.
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
