Mortgage Banker Trainee

Total Mortgage Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Banker Trainee to join our team. As a Mortgage Banker Trainee, you will be responsible for developing relationships with sources that can refer borrowers in need of a mortgage loan for their new house purchase or to refinance a property currently owned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete SAFE Act course work and pass the Mortgage Loan Originator Test to become a licensed MLO
  • Training with Senior Management to include qualifying borrowers, loan origination software, loan programs and product knowledge, sales and relationship development, and mortgage application flow and milestones
  • Develop strong relationships with Realtors and Builders to generate residential mortgage loan applications
Personal Traits and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to complete mathematical and analytical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet or exceed expectations
  • Goal-oriented team player with a desire to become an expert in their field
Technical and Computer Skills:
  • Proficient operation of Microsoft Office products
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
