The responsibilities of Systems Engineers include:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and identifying cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Supporting integrated, dynamic cyber defense initiatives, coordinating and maintaining security toolsets to facilitate organizations' continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs.
- Establishing a framework for measuring and quantifying cyber risk in the marketplace.
- Assessing security requirements by evaluating business strategies and needs; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; examining architecture/platform; identifying integration challenges; preparing cost estimates.
- Implementing security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; overseeing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
- Validating security systems by developing and executing test scripts.
- Ensuring security compliance by monitoring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and delivering training programs.
- Accountable for the design, development, implementation, and integration of DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
- Ensuring that the architecture and design of both development and operational systems are functional and secure, which includes designs for program of record systems and specialized processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is mandatory.
- Experience in formulating system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
- Experience in creating technical documentation for issues and/or training purposes.
- Familiarity with agile and/or spiral development methodologies.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
