Position Overview:
- Wapiti Medical Staffing is looking for a skilled urology professional to become part of our exceptional medical team. Our organization is dedicated to establishing benchmarks for quality in healthcare delivery, community engagement, and professional satisfaction.
- Our network comprises a robust team of employed physicians and advanced practice providers, ensuring comprehensive support.
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in laparoscopic techniques and a thorough understanding of general urology. Strong clinical outcomes, attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities with patients and their families are essential.
- We are in search of a urologist with both clinical and leadership capabilities as we expand our distinguished urology practice.
- You will collaborate with three other seasoned urologists, including two uro-oncologists. The facility is particularly interested in a General Urologist, as two of the three providers are already trained in robotic procedures and focus on uro-oncology.
- On-call responsibilities will be shared on a 1:4 basis.
- In addition to the hospital operating room, a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center is available for urologists, both equipped with advanced robotic systems.
- As part of our organization, physicians will utilize Epic as their electronic health record system, which has been in use for over 15 years.
- We provide all necessary clinic personnel and have a dedicated practice coordinator on-site.
- There is an opportunity for medical students and residents from local universities to participate in rounds with the physician.
- Our organization boasts a wide array of specialists, with most internal medicine subspecialties represented, alongside numerous surgical subspecialties. Our Emergency Care Center is recognized among the best nationally.
- We are a Level 2 trauma center, certified for both pediatric and geriatric care, with exceptional facilities and resources available.
- Our cutting-edge facilities include two advanced da Vinci HD robots and a new hybrid operating suite, featuring innovative technology that transforms surgical procedures.
- We are open to considering H-1B candidates, but we do not qualify for J-1 waivers.
- We are not accepting Locum candidates at this time.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Urology.
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with laparoscopic/robotic techniques is required.
