We are currently seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse Surgical Circulator for a permanent position. This role is essential in providing top-tier surgical nursing care to patients within a collaborative environment.


Position Overview:

The CVOR Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care during surgical procedures, ensuring effective communication with the surgical team, including surgeons and other healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in both emergency and elective surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to guarantee optimal patient care.
  • Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families.
  • Organize and manage necessary supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients before, during, and after surgery while maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Perform critical count procedures to prevent unintended retained foreign objects.
  • Ensure interventions are executed to maintain the patient's physiological stability.
  • Administer medications as per physician directives.
  • Engage patients or their designated support persons in decisions regarding their care and rehabilitation.

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in CVOR nursing is essential.
