Career Services Advisor Job Description

At The Tennessee Board of Regents, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Career Services Advisor to provide career readiness assistance to our current and prospective students. This role will play a crucial part in the success of our students and will work closely with multiple college departments, faculty, staff, students, community partners, and local education agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promote and support career services programming and events, including career fairs and other recruiting events, employer development, and more.
* Assist with managing the career management system, responding to students' questions, and troubleshooting system utilization issues.
* Coordinate all aspects of the Student Employment Program (SEP), including verifying applicant data, determining eligibility for student employment, and overseeing job development with campus and community partners.
* Serve as the main point of contact for students seeking on-campus employment opportunities and support collaborations with dual enrollment, off-campus sites, and regional K-12 partners to promote career development and guidance for middle school and high school students.
* Provide individual/group career coaching to students, including career assessments, career guidance sessions, and workshops, and deliver career-related presentations to classes and student organizations.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree required.
* Two years of advising or customer service experience preferred.
* Experience working in higher education, specifically at the community college level, is a plus.
