Permanent Substitute Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team as a Permanent Substitute. This is a full-time position, 180 work days, and will be based in one of our member districts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language services to students in a student-centered environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication disorders.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Hold or be eligible for an Illinois Professional Educator License as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Demonstrates excellence in verbal and written communications.
  • Experience with collaborative groups and processes in a student-centered environment.
  • Other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence as the Board may specify.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a variety of settings, including Early Childhood Centers, Elementary Schools, and Middle Schools. Some traveling between buildings may be required, and working with students and staff in a Structured Autism classroom may be necessary.
