Job Description

Bolton Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, general and emergency practice with over a dozen veterinarians on staff and a support team of over 100. This busy 24/7/365 hospital is proudly privately owned, and has been in operation since 1953.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our supplies organized and in stock, ensuring our practice operates smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and rotating inventory on a regular basis, checking for expired products in all stock areas.
  • Assisting in receiving inventory, including opening stock boxes upon delivery, checking items against invoices or packing slips, and noting lot numbers and expiration dates.
  • Entering receipts and processing returns.
  • Completing toner returns.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills and good judgment. The successful candidate will work closely with our Administrative team and be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Requirements:

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma or general education degree; at least 1-3 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management environment is preferred.
  • Ability to use practice management software and other designated software computer systems.
