We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Young Adult Behavioral Health Unit at Eastern Connecticut Health Network. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care, coordinate care with the treatment team, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities- Assess and reassess patient needs, developing and revising individualized treatment plans as indicated by assessment and patient response to treatment.
- Provide comprehensive care, including medication management, psychotherapeutic interventions, and education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure effective care coordination and communication.
- Participate in Early Response codes and Dr. Strong codes, attending PMT refresher trainings as needed.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, demonstrating clinical expertise, perceptiveness, empathy, and interpersonal warmth.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire and maintenance of clinical competency during employment.
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques, with certification within 6 months of hire.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work autonomously, consistent with evidence-based standards.
- Capacity to maintain professional and personal boundaries.
- Effective communication and collaboration with the treatment team.
