Position Overview
The Delaware Psychiatric Center (DPC) at Jane E. Mitchell (JEM) is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to enhance their team. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining the security and safety of clients from the Department of Corrections. Your primary responsibilities will encompass crisis management, conducting foot patrols, performing room inspections, and overseeing clients during diverse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report any behavioral changes in clients, de-escalate challenging situations, and supervise visitor behavior.
- Address psychiatric emergencies, manage property oversight, and ensure the safety of both staff and visitors.
- Employ security systems, monitor alarms, and respond to emergencies with efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections, perform searches, and uphold safety protocols within the facility.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications for Forensic Security Officer I- Experience in security and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of security systems and surveillance technologies.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Additional Information
Conditions of Employment
Before commencing employment, candidates will undergo drug screening and a criminal background investigation. This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
