Position Overview

As the Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will oversee all facets of pharmacy practice, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations as well as corporate policies. You will be responsible for the financial performance of the pharmacy department, managing budgets, minimizing unauthorized overtime, conducting staff training, delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing prescription pricing, controlling inventory, and providing corporate-approved clinical services. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all essential staff pharmacist duties while leading the pharmacy team, effectively managing customer complaints and optimizing workflows to reduce wait times.
  • Develop, oversee, and support sales strategies and initiatives as outlined by the division pharmacy department.
  • Execute all necessary responsibilities of a registered pharmacist in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Guide the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse targets, minimize overstock, streamline prescription processes, and ensure staff are well-trained in ordering procedures.
  • Adhere to corporate controlled substance protocols and manage third-party or insurance profitability.
  • Efficiently schedule pharmacy personnel to control labor costs, maintain accurate records, and meet budgetary goals.
  • Engage in outreach visits to local healthcare providers, support public health initiatives, and travel as necessary.
  • Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or recognized equivalent for Foreign Pharmacist graduates.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Active and in good standing with a pharmacy license.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ongoing education.
  • Participation in clinical programs.

Preferred Experience/Education

  • Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s).
  • A combination of educational and business management experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

Travel Requirement: Up to 25%

Certifications/Licenses: Pharmacy Board License
