Job Overview
As a vital member of our resort team, the Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations and public areas. This role requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to our service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the I-Serve standards consistently.
- Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols.
- Report to the designated workstation punctually as per the attendance policy.
- Contribute ideas for enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.
Departmental Duties:
- Complete all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Keep all public areas clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways unobstructed.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness in housekeeping storage areas and carts.
- Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
- Participate in meetings and adhere to safety practices, reporting any hazards.
- Promptly return all lost and found items to the housekeeping manager.
- Consistently follow the Welk Resorts Signature Guest Engagement service standards.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of six months of relevant experience is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is advantageous. Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is desirable. Proficiency in using mobile devices for task management is required.
Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members. Proficiency in English is required.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes while maintaining effective working relationships.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically moderate to noisy, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions while performing duties.
