Position Overview

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is preferred.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in the hospitality or service sector.
  • Proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace is required.
Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Receiving and processing beverage orders from patrons and serving staff.
  • Creating and garnishing cocktails and beverages in accordance with Hotel Genevieve's standards.
  • Providing food items or snacks to guests as requested or coordinating with the kitchen.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Designing attractive displays with bottles and glasses.
  • Assisting in the planning and organization of the bar menu and operations.
  • Addressing guest feedback and concerns promptly, and collaborating with supervisors to implement solutions.
  • Handling cash transactions for all orders.
  • Verifying customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol sales.
  • Reconciling cash receipts accurately.
  • Taking proactive measures to manage customer behavior related to alcohol consumption.
  • Ordering and managing inventory of liquors and supplies.
  • Requesting the departure of disruptive customers when necessary.
  • Upholding a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically characterized by:

  • A moderate noise level.
  • The requirement to lift items weighing up to forty pounds regularly; heavier items may require assistance.
  • Engagement in various physical activities including standing, walking, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods.
