Job Overview

Position: Automotive Parts Sales Associate

Role Summary: The ideal candidate will exhibit professionalism, kindness, and courtesy towards customers, vendors, and colleagues at all times. Exceptional customer service is paramount. Responsibilities include initiating phone calls to attract new clientele, responding to incoming calls to process orders, fulfilling parts requests from technicians, managing online parts inquiries and orders, and assisting walk-in retail customers. It is essential to conduct all interactions in a professional manner while also making informed recommendations for additional parts sales and addressing any customer objections. The role may involve delivering parts to customers and retrieving returns from customers or vendors. Maintaining clear communication and a tidy workspace daily is crucial.

Job Requirements:

Administrative Qualifications:
  1. Must be authorized to work in the United States
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
  3. Valid Driver's License necessary
  4. Clear driving record is mandatory
  5. Background check must be clean
  6. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with future random screenings
Physical Abilities:
  1. Capable of maintaining a rapid work pace consistently
  2. Able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  3. Must consistently arrive on time and prepared for work, Monday through Saturday as required
  4. Ability to lift items over 40 pounds regularly
  5. Must be able to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods
  6. Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  7. Commitment to keeping a clean work environment daily
  8. Proficient in safely operating a forklift and pallet jack
Experience:
  1. Demonstrated satisfactory work history is required
  2. Must provide at least two references from previous or current employment
  3. Knowledge of vehicles, parts, sales, and repair processes is essential
  4. Ability to deliver excellent customer service to clients and vendors
  5. Effective communication skills with colleagues and supervisors are necessary
  6. Ability to contribute to a team environment while achieving individual goals
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
  8. Experience using dealer management systems for processing requests, orders, and related documentation
