Senior Living Resident Care Director Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Director to join our team at Merrill Gardens. As a key member of our senior living community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement resident care plans to ensure the highest standards of assisted living services.
  • Work closely with residents and their families to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure resident care is meeting state regulations and Merrill Gardens' policies.
  • Provide direct care to residents as needed, including medication administration and hands-on personal care.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure they are providing high-quality care and services.
  • Manage resident records and department documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure financial stability and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Current LVN licensure, as specified by state agency, preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire where required by state.
  • Completion of dementia training as required by state regulations within six months of hire date if applicable.
  • 3 years' related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in assisted living, geriatric nursing, or gerontology and dementia care.
