Role Overview:

As an Optical Sales Specialist, you will be essential in providing an outstanding customer experience by guiding patients through the selection of eyewear, performing necessary measurements, fittings, and imparting knowledge on effective eye care practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and clarify prescriptions while assisting patients in selecting suitable eyewear
  • Conduct optical measurements to prepare eyewear accurately
  • Process eyewear orders based on patient preferences and prescriptions
  • Perform quality checks on lenses and frames to ensure standards are met
  • Adjust eyewear and educate patients on maintenance and care
  • Carry out repairs as required
  • Manage equipment and inventory effectively

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Prior experience in the optical field is essential
  • ABO and NCLE certification is required; state licensure is preferred
  • Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) is advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of multitasking
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule
