About the Role

As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines. You will work on a variety of tasks including running diagnostic tests, replacing engine components, and performing routine maintenance checks. Your strong mechanical skills and attention to detail will enable you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair activities on heavy equipment such as trucks, forklifts, and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair various systems including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace parts as needed
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and adjustments on fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches
  • Change filters and oil, and lubricate vehicles and motor-driven equipment
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
