Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Adjunct Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Welding Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various welding courses to a diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach welding courses to students at various locations, including the Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying skill levels.
  • Utilize technology and various teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Plan, manage, and teach courses in accordance with established syllabi.
  • Follow all EPA and OSHA rules related to the welding program.
  • Participate in college functions as needed and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program and college.
  • Provide professional service as a team player and support the college's mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Must have five years of experience and an associate degree, or five years of experience and certifications in the welding field.
  • Must be proficient in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes on plate, pipe, and structural steel.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the welding trade and the ability to effectively share this knowledge with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.
