About the Role:

Snap Inc., a technology company revolutionizing human communication, is seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineering Manager to join the Camera Team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and mentor a team of mobile developers in creating impactful products that empower fast visual communication and rich content creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for the team, establishing a clear roadmap, setting measurable objectives, and guiding the team towards successful product delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive solutions, including Product, Operations, Data Science, and key stakeholders.
  • Assess technical tradeoffs, providing strong technical mentorship to support best practices and high-quality code.
  • Foster a growth-oriented environment through regular feedback, performance management, and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading high-performing teams in building mobile applications used by diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in mobile development languages, specifically Objective C/Swift for iOS and Java/Kotlin for Android.
  • Strong product sense and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years managing mobile software engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering performance-critical mobile applications.
  • Experience with media capture and processing on Android or iOS platforms.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $211,000-$316,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
