Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Transaction Manager to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in RWE Renewables Americas LLC. As a key member of our team, you will support the design and structuring of transactions based on a strategic mandate of the RWE Group in the field of offshore wind and/or offshore-to-X (e.g. Hydrogen).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the strategy and execution of transactions in the US
- Assist in coordinating a diverse, multi-disciplinary transaction team and support the lead negotiator in negotiations with potential or existing partners/investors
- Perform analysis and market research
- Support interface management and/or coordination and collaboration with various RWE Renewables technology and support functions
- Provide input to and/or lead the creation of materials for the Board of Directors and management presentations for internal/external stakeholders
Requirements:
- University degree in finance, economics, law or mergers & acquisitions; MBA, CFA or similar post-graduate degrees are a plus
- At least 1-2 years past experience with partnership, corporate development or transactions experience providing analysis or strategy support to a renewable energy or power industry related field
- Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Initial negotiation experience of relevant contracts in the area of partnerships or M&A an advantage
- Enthusiasm and high motivation to work in an international and fast changing environment
- Strong personal ability to operate in different cultural environments
