Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures
  • Acquire and process nuclear medicine scans utilizing computerized single and multi-head SPECT/CT gamma cameras
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including Schilling's tests, RBC/plasma volumes, and RAIU determinations
  • Ensure radiation safety and compliance by maintaining records of radioactive material and enforcing radiation and general safety rules and regulations
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement protocols for new procedures and equipment
Requirements:
  • High School diploma and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist (ARRT(R)) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
  • Minimum of three months of experience in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital
