Boilermaker Apprentice

Voith Group is seeking a skilled Boilermaker Apprentice to join our North American Hydro division in York, PA. As a Journeyman apprentice, you will work on fabricating unique one-off components for some of the largest hydroelectric machines in various thicknesses and grades of steel.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate complex steel components based on blueprints
- Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (Dual Shield)
- Arcing, back gouging & NDE of back gouge
- Assist in preparing fabrication blueprints
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Required skills: Gas Metal Arc Welding, Flux Cored Arc Welding, Advanced blueprint reading courses
- Preferred skills: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Submerged Arc Welding, Electro Slag Welding, Robot Welding / Plasma cutting, Plasma cutting by hand
