Job Summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our program participants and ensuring the effective management of clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Administer direct nursing care to program participants, maintaining clinical competence and assessing nursing care needs.
  • Collaborate with staff, peers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective clinical management of elder care practices.
  • Develop and review nursing care plans for program participants on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per policies and procedures, adhering to State and Federal regulations.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate staff members to ensure effective functioning of the unit.
  • Ensure medication is administered as ordered and treatments are completed as scheduled.
  • Provide supervision and resources to Neighborhood Nurses as needed.
  • Assist new staff members in the adjustment and orientation process.
  • Participate in the evaluation process of nursing staff.
  • Maintain adequate supplies on the Neighborhood and contain costs.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Neighborhood and other departments, advocating for the needs of program participants.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a State-approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Maryland.
  • Clinical experience in long-term care and with the dementia population.
  • CPR certification.
