Key Responsibilities- Administer diagnostic testing and evaluations in occupational therapy, providing expert education to graduate and doctoral students as needed.
- Teach and supervise graduate occupational therapy students, fellows, and residents, developing innovative programs to enhance patient care.
- Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs, identifying expected patient outcomes and communicating relevant information for continuity of care.
- Select and apply advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services, organizing and prioritizing care according to patient needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts, maintaining valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress, and participating in departmental meetings and inservices.
- Conduct evidence-based practice reviews, supporting clinical research activities and contributing to publications, and participating in research-based committees.
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- Five years of occupational therapy experience, including one year in the specialty field of work to which assigned.
