About the Role

The Maintenance Manager is a key position at Land O'Lakes, responsible for leading maintenance and reliability strategies to improve productivity while ensuring highest levels of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

This individual will manage site assets, facility maintenance, and modifications of equipment, ensuring all resources are available to production and other departments to maintain production systems, equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds.

The role also involves working closely with Engineering, plant management, EH&S, and Quality to develop project scope, capital requests, and expense estimates. Additional duties include contractor/vendor selection and qualification, process design, equipment specifications and purchases, and project implementation including timeline coordination and execution.

Fostering collaboration and teamwork is essential in this role, as well as supporting Land O'Lakes values and integrity in all plant activities. Promoting safety and an environment for open and timely communication is also crucial.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance personnel to ensure proper technical knowledge on all shifts
  • Select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees
  • Provide periodic feedback to ensure development
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to meet customer needs
  • Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Production/Operations, Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Management)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Food Processing field and a minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial plant with 3 plus years' experience in a leadership capacity or equivalent
  • Knowledge and expertise with dairy or foods manufacturing processes
  • Food/Dairy/Chemical Manufacturing Processing experience requiring the use of a PSM regulated ammonia refrigeration system

Estimated Salary Range: $91,120 - $136,680
