Position Overview:

We are in search of a qualified and seasoned Safety Manager to oversee our operations. This role will report directly to the Safety Director and will be pivotal in crafting, executing, and managing safety initiatives to guarantee adherence to occupational safety and health standards. A proactive stance is essential for fostering a secure working environment across our facilities, with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, execute, and assess safety protocols and practices in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct frequent safety evaluations and inspections to pinpoint risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions for personnel at all levels to cultivate a safety-centric culture.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish safety objectives and report on safety performance indicators.
  • Examine accidents and incidents to identify root causes and propose preventive strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of safety training, incidents, and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring all safety documentation is precise and current.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting workplace safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of safety experience, ideally within the equipment, industrial, or construction sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead safety training and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with desk work and computer usage.
  • Occasional site visits in industrial settings, which may involve light walking, lifting, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds as required.

Position Type and Expected Hours:

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt role; standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
