Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients with injuries, diseases, and disabilities. The Physical Therapist will screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome.
Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
Helps to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required.
Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position is located at St James Hospital in Butte, Montana. The Physical Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.

Physical Requirements:

The Physical Therapist must be able to perform the following physical requirements: carrying, climbing, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.
